Required for Warranty
Protect your system — maintain your warranty
ThermaSkirt is manufactured from aluminium, which requires the water in your heating system to be properly treated and maintained at the correct pH level (6.8–8.3). This cleanser and inhibitor kit is specifically formulated for ThermaSkirt and is required to maintain the 10-year wet-part warranty. The cleanser removes flux, solvents and acids left from installation, and the inhibitor provides ongoing corrosion protection — even through multiple drain-downs and refills.
Why water treatment matters
Protects your warranty
This kit is required to maintain the 10-year wet-part warranty on your ThermaSkirt system. Without correct water treatment, the warranty is invalidated. It's a small investment to protect a much larger one.
Specifically formulated
Designed for mixed-metal systems where aluminium ThermaSkirt connects to copper or steel pipework. The inhibitor acts as a sacrificial anode, protecting the aluminium from galvanic corrosion.
Drain and refill protected
Unlike standard inhibitors that wash out when you drain the system, this sacrificial anode formula maintains protection through multiple drain-downs and refills — so future maintenance doesn't compromise your corrosion protection.
Simple inline installation
The 22mm compression fitting installs inline anywhere in your central heating system. No specialist tools — a standard compression fitting that any competent plumber or DIY installer can fit.
